Which ENGAA and NSAA papers still help?
The old papers add years of useful questions, but the sections do not map cleanly onto ESAT. Use this list before you print them.

Near match

The closest legacy match: compulsory, AS-level mathematics for a broad applicant cohort.
Mathematics 2
Strong match
- ENGAA Section 1 Part B advanced mathematics
- NSAA Section 1 advanced mathematics
The content ceiling is similar. Filter out the physics questions before timing a set.
Physics

ENGAA Section 2 goes deeper than ESAT Physics. Treat it as stretch work, not a diagnostic.
Chemistry

ENGAA has no chemistry. Pre-2020 NSAA Section 2 is long-answer, so it does not rehearse the ESAT format.

Use them under ESAT conditions
- Build a 27-question set and give yourself 40 minutes.
- Do not enter a legacy paper's original score into the converter. Use only the raw mark from your rebuilt set.
