These broad headings remain, but the official ESAT guide sets the examinable detail.

Old PAT area

Matter

Treat the changed heading as a prompt to compare content, not proof of equivalence.

Old PAT area

Nuclear and particle physics

Check in ESAT

Radioactivity

The headings differ. Use the ESAT guide rather than carrying the old PAT scope across.

Start with the current guides

Build one checklist from the three UAT-UK guides. Then practise each module separately. Old PAT papers can still stretch your problem solving, but they cannot produce an ESAT score.
